Well, she's here! The princess has arrived. And I finally have time to blog. Mainly because Tony is asleep holding Campbell, and Margo is asleep in my lap. Why am I not sleeping??
Just wanted to share some of her newborn pictures. Thanks to Allison French and her awesome photography skills, we were able to capture some great shots in between the screams. Let's just say, the way I envisioned newborn pictures and what actually happened, could not have been more different. At one point, we had a screaming baby and an out of control dog and I was thinking to myself... how effing dysfunctional are we?! It is rather humorous looking back. And poor Allison got pooped on twice and peed on once. Baby of the year.
We are surviving and learning how to care for another human day by day. We couldn't be more blessed. She is perfect in every way and has completed our family in a way I couldn't imagine.
Life is what we make it... always has been... always will be.

9 months, A wreck & Getting fatter by the day
This 9 month pregnancy mark is for the freakin' birds.
I am over it.
This week started out with the worst Monday known to man. I was driving to work, heading East, which is where the sun comes up apparently. The sun on Monday was blinding. Blinding I tell you! I come up on a small hill and a PARKED construction truck which I didn't see AT ALL until it was too late. I swirved, but not before I hit the back end of the truck with the entire passenger side of my car.
The funny part (I like to find funny parts in my mishaps) is that there were 5-6 construction workers standing around the truck and they were like little mexican jumping beans going right and left. Thank the Lord I didn't hit any of them! That would have made for a worse Monday.
I was so freaked out, then they didn't want me to call the cops (I'm assuming because they were illegal), so we exchanged info and I left. Crying the whole way home. I talked to Tony, he convinced me to go back to the crime scene to get a police report for the insurance. So I went. And I got a ticket for some sort of not paying attention reason. And the other guy got a ticket for not having a current insurance card.
I originally told Tony that I just knocked off my passenger side mirror. That's honestly what I thought. $6,200 later. Everything on the passenger side of my car has to be fixed. Ooops.
So now, I'm driving my mom's Camry. Which let me tell you, it's hard as hell to get in and out of that little thing when you are as big as me. And I'll be doing it for the next 2 weeks until my car is fixed, which also has our carseat, ya know the one we just got installed, in it.
My Dr. wanted me to go get checked out at the hospital. So my day continued to get better. I was put in a Triage room and was told they had to hold me for 6 hours to monitor me and the baby. Good news is that we are both absolutely fine. I tried conviencing them to just go ahead and induce me since I was already there. Made sense to me. No such luck.
Today is Friday, and not only am I having issues getting in and out of the Camry, but I can no longer fit into my maternity jeans. Jean Fridays at work are my fav. So you can imagine my utter disappointment when I went to put on my jeans this morning and they had a giant rip in the crotch. Awesome. I wonder when that happened? Like was I walking around with ripped jeans the last time I wore them? So currently I'm sitting at my desk in a maxi skirt. On jean day.
3 more weeks at the most. 3 more weeks of pretending that maxi skirts and leggings are appropriate clothing for the work place. Let's all say a quick little prayer that baby Line decides to make an early appearance. Like today.

Carseat- Check!
So this happened today....
A nice man at the fire department with a sleeve tattoo installed this for me this morning. As he was showing me how 'easy' it is to re-balance the base, he cut his finger and got blood all over my seat. I can't wait until I get to re-balance the base by myself.
So me and the carseat are just crusing around town together until little miss decides to make her appearance. I'm picking Margo up from school after work... she's going to sniff the hell out of it. And possibly try to ride in it.

Firsts
Last Friday will go down in history.
Lots of Firsts.
The first football game at the new stadium/pressbox.
The first time Bill Snyder has lost a home opener (we are still working on accepting it around our house).
The first football game for the baby.
And the first time I've been sober at a football game since I can remember.
It was HOT folks. I don't know how hot, but I know it was over 100 degrees. I know that my legs were dripping sweat, which is not a good combo with self tanner....
And I know that my hair went into a ponytail the second after this picture was taken.
Another highlight of the day was walking by my boyfriend Rodney McGruder, like literally walking RIGHT by him. I think my arm touched his. Any other KSU event, I would have chased him down and forced a picture out of him.
I was sober. I froze. And then it was too late.
I should have told him I was carrying his child. That would have made for a good picture. Especially with Tony, ya know- the real baby daddy, snapping it.
Coulda - Shoulda - Woulda -

Showering Baby Line
I will start out by saying that I have the best friends in the world. On Saturday I had my first shower for baby Line and she got spoiled to the max.
It was at the Vintage House in downtown OP, and it was the prettiest baby shower I've ever been to. The location and details were all so perfect. Not a surprise at all... since my friends are perfect. Duh.
Here's some pictures to prove it:

Oh and then this happened:

You might...
You might have a problem when the people at Goodcents know you by your first name. You might have a problem when the people at Goodcents know your car when you pull up. You might have a problem when the people at Goodcents know your order without asking. But the real problem is when you realize... that you have gone from getting free drinks at bars, to free cookies at Goodcents. And that my friends, makes for a sad sad day.

Possibly TMI
So I bit the bullet yesterday and went shopping for new bras.
As I walked into Victoria's Secret past all of the skinny mannequin bitches on display, I purposely avoided the swimsuit section. I grabbed a few 34C's thinking that would suffice, and headed to the dressing rooms.
To my horror, they were all too small. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have this problem if my belly wasn't growing equally as big.
The lovely dressing room worker confirmed my intuition. The bras were too small. She left to retrieve some 34D's. Holy Shit.
Well, the D's worked and I was let back out into the store to get the color preference I needed. All I wanted was a nude one and a black one. Practical. They had neither. Apparently there's a big market for 34D's in the plain and simple color selection. As much as I would love to own some neon pink, lacy yellow, and bedazzled orange bras, I just couldn't justify the cost with the practical side of it.
So out the door I went, sending a frantic text to my husband.
His response was something about almost being to playboy size. Men.
My response was that I might let him touch them, if he bought me the new bras.
They are shipping to our house as we speak.
Well played, Callie. Well played.

6 Months
As I approach the 6 month mark, I thought I'd share this picture.
My dear friend Caitlin, sent this to me. I think it's totally appropriate!
Countdown is on! Come onnnnn October! Can't wait to meet the little princess that kicks me constantly. I'm hoping she's nicer on the outside :)

Margo Post
It's been awhile since my precious pup has had a blog post all to herself*. And we all know how much girlfriend loves attention. Just ask anyone who walks through our door. Anyone except the security system people, then she turns all scared and timid. Great timing, be a little wimp to the only people who know our freaking alarm code.
Doesn't this look like a face who is super excited to share her attention in a few months?
I don't think anyone asked her how she felt about the situation. Rude.
We did find out that she is choke hold tolerable though.
I'm sure that will come in handy.
*So it really didn't end up being all to herself. She's gotta start sharing at some point!

Hiring?
Ever since I found out we are having a girl, my bank account seems extra low.
It's rough, this shopping for a baby girl.
Because when I run across things like this:
I literally have no control.

Karma
I realize I'm not yet a parent, and have no idea what's about to hit me in the face when I'm responsible for another human being come October. However, there is one thing that bugs me and I just can't get over it.
Prepare yourselves, I'm going to sound extremely vain right here.
Disney characters on clothing bother me.
Gasp, I know. Send in the firing squad.
Now, I love Aladdin and Beauty and The Beast as much as the next person, but I am not a fan of it plastered all over kid's clothes. I feel like I'm in a Disney world gift shop and can't get out.
I know down the road, I have a lot to learn, and I'm sure my little girl will be dressed from head to toe in Dora the Explorer to avoid a tragic meltdown sooner than later. So someday I will eat my words and I'll have this blog post to blame.
But for now, you can imagine my pouty face, when I unpacked a box of diapers I had bought and saw this:
Karma??
Do ALL diapers have cartoons on them?
I really have a lot to learn.

Alright, Alright
I'm getting semi-harrassed by a few people to post a picture of my belly. Something that I am not fond of doing.
So if you read my blog, consider yourself lucky (or not). You will not be finding said pictures on Facebook. That's just my personal preference, I'm not knocking any expectant mothers that choose to show off the bump via social media. Apparently, growing a child also makes me use words like 'knocking'. ??
This picture is from this morning. I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow. Almost half way there. Praise Jesus.

Little Rascal or Little Princess
Today's the day.
Does the babe have a stem? Or no stem? (That's a horrible analogy, but that's what my dad says)
Fingers crossed that the little one cooperates.
Guesses are pretty mixed from what I've heard, but I'm thinking boy and Tony's thinking boy so we'll see how good of parents we are starting out to be....
