Silver Is Obv Out

My opinion of what snowflake ornaments are supposed to look like:

Margo's opinion of what snowflake ornaments are supposed to look like:

Not only did she eat one of these bad boys... but two.  They may look small in the picture, but each of them is about 8 inches in diameter.  Not small.

I think she was trying to tell me two things:
1.) that I indeed should have bought new colored ornaments this year.  She must be over the silver too.
2.) the dog repellant spray does. not. work.

I was annoyed at first when I saw the silver glittery (it's a word) big snowflakes in 102 pieces on my floor, but then I had to laugh thinking about how shiny her poop will be for awhile.

KSU vs. OSU

Yes, it's an old game post.  We lost.  But I really wanted to share some pictures from this weekend.  Here's Cait sporting the purple (first time in a KSU shirt ever).  She likes those chicken hawks east on I-70.

Mom and Dot Debes & Wilson

After the game, Cait decided she needed another hole in her ear.  I tried to talk her out of it, but as you can tell, I didn't do a great job of that.

Willy, my love, was at Porters.  I tried to give him my beer, and he totally wanted it, but that probably could get him fired and there's no way in hell I'm taking his spot doing pushups at the games...

Then we headed to Rusty's peanut bar where Biggs' tried on every person's Halloween costume that walked through to door.  This was the hit of night!

And she got assistance!

Dirks Digler??

She doesn't know him

Then there was Elmo

Can you tell me how to get... how to get to Seseme Street??
Another successful weekend in the Little Apple.  Do you think we are getting to old for it??

Saddle Up!

A few weeks ago, my dad bought us tickets to the Rodeo at Kemper Arena.  For those of you who don't know, my dad has become quite the cowboy.  He frequents TX reguarly and recently sold his suburban for a truck.  A big truck.  A serious cowboy truck.  I was pretty excited to see what it was all about, considering the last rodeo I went to was when I was 8 and my brother was 3.  My parents thought it was a good idea to sign my brother up for the 'sheep ride', and the last thing they told him was 'just don't let go!'. And he didn't.  The huge sheep flipped over and landed on his little body, knocking him out cold.  He lived obviously, but we still joke that's what's wrong with him :)  Back to the present day rodeo... here we are before it starts.  Wish you could see our boots.  Well, not Tony's because he doesn't have any (I'm working on it), but the rest of ours.  Tony thought he would look 'too country' in his plaid button down.  I asked him how he thought everyone else in the arena would be dressed.  He didn't have to tell me Good Point, I could tell by his face he agreed.

Dad showed us up
It may appear that my dad is part of the show  rodeo, but he's not.  My mom says, 'some guys go through mid-life crisis' and buy fancy cars and young women, I'm okay if your dad becomes a cowboy'  That comment still makes me laugh.

Gross pic of me, I'm 99% sure I didn't shower that day..

Ready for some bucking broncos!

My fav event by far was the bucking broncos.  They are way more intense in person than those mechanical ones at the bars - Obv.  but those guys are nuts!
Tony and I both had a hard time watching the roping.  The tying of the legs wasn't as bad as when they tackled the calves head and ripped it to the side so it laid down.  It hurt me.
The Budweiser Clydesdales paid us a visit too.  I took pictures, but they turned out super dark and I didn't want you to have to strain your eyes to see them.  You're welcome.
Rodeo ended... BUT WAIT!  Dierks Bentley came out on the stage to perform.  (I'm loving this rodeo more and more).  I've seen him a couple of times before, but he was wonderful!  Made me forget all about those poor little calves twisted necks!

Happy Late Halloween!

Here are our pumpkins!  Believe it or not, this is the first year Tony and I have ever carved pumpkins together.  In 7 years.  We must hate Halloween.  Probably b/c every year I buy tons of candy for the kiddos and then we have 5 trick-or-treaters.

Don't judge my KSU one... I did it in like 5 minutes.  With a bread knife.  Maybe we'll be more prepared next year??

TGIF

Ok, so I've been a terrible blogger lately.  I'll be better next week, I promise.  Right after I get back from VEGAS!!  Do I sound like a spoiled rotten child yet?  Mexico and Vegas.  I know.  My beautiful aunt Carrie turned 40 on Monday and that definitely calls for a celebration.  What better way to celebrate?  Veg, for sure.  I haven't packed yet, and we are leaving for the airport at 5:30 am.  Think I can just take my bag from Mexico that's still packed in my bedroom?  It's like I think we'll get to go back next week if I just don't unpack it.  Don't tell me otherwise.  Oh and it's going to be 82 in Veg.  Jealous yet??

P.S. I know you aren't supposed to publicize online when you are leaving town... just so all you crazy burglars know... my tough hubby and my vicious guard dog will be home.  Beware!

Mehico!!

Finally, I know.  We went to Mexico with a group of 10 people the 21-26 and it was heaven.  Here's some pics... more on Facebook.

You may be getting this one as a Christmas card :)

 Whoohoo!

The monkey peed on my hand right after this picture...

We were sending well wishes to the cats on Saturday... too bad it didn't help.
