Northface Debacle & Collin Klein rocks my world

I haven't talked about KSU football in quite some time. I also haven't blogged in quite some time.

The Cats are on a roll.  They are giving me super anxiety every freaking weekend with these close games.  And I love love love Collin Klein.  Did you know that he hasn't practiced in 2 weeks?  Before the A&M game and the Texas game... no practice.  He's probably trying to heal those poor arm wounds he keeps gashing open every weekend.  What a beast!

2 weekends ago, Tony and I headed down to the Little Apple on Friday before the A&M game.  We got to hang out in Aggieville, eat at So Long Saloon, and see a few of our friends.  Let me just say that Aggieville beat me up.  In a dual between me and Aggieville - The Ville won.
Here's some pictures of the night..

Anti-Drunk Dialer.  Genious.

My cousin Bridget met us out.  She's young, hip and in college.  And she got us free t-shirts...

And braided the bouncers hair...

The next morning on our way out of the door, Biggs said 'don't forget your fleece.'  I looked at her and said 'I don't have a fleece.'  She picked up a northface fleece off of her couch and said 'whose is this then?'.  Turns out, Tony had grabbed a pile of coats that was by ours from the bar when we left.  I thought it was hilarious and then we noticed another one sitting under it!  It gets better, Biggs checked one of the pockets and pulled out a pair of KEYS!!  We just stared at each other like 'oh shit.'  Luckily (or unluckily) the keys were attached to a work badge from the Vet center.  Biggs facebooked the girl and we brought the coats with us to tailgate.  Unfortunately they were both XL's and covered in horse hair, but I still wore one because it was FREEZING that morning.

Northface Snatcher
It was such an AWESOME game!  Quadruple overtime sure sobered me up for the drive home.  My hubby was happy :)

I can't wait to find out what bowl we are going to... our plane tickets are awaiting us.  GO STATE!!!

Life would be boring without dogs...

Ran across this picture today on Pinterest and it made me laugh...

And it also reminded me of my own life....

Halloween at Arrowhead

We spent our Halloween out at Arrowhead to watch the Chiefs vs. Chargers.  It was one hell of a game!

I'd like to mention the fact that Chief's fans scare me.  They are in. sane.  Especially on Halloween.  I have no idea what possessed what I felt was the majority of people to dress up super skanky when it was freezing out and they were attending a football game.  Fishnet hose? Check.  Tube top dresses?  Check.  High Heels?? Check. Check. Check.
Craziness.
I should have taken pictures, but I was too shocked to work my camera.

Our seats were fab.  Tony got them from a guy he refers patients to.  They had to go trick-or-treating with their kids... we did not.

Andie informed me that these are called 'rowdy towels'.  She loved her some rowdy towel that night!

I'm sure the boys were annoyed b/c we were doing this...

We left with about 5 minutes left in the game to beat traffic.  The game ended up going to overtime and the Chiefs pulled out a win.  I wish we would have stayed until the end, but it would have taken us 2 hours to get out of the parking lot.  Which looked like this....

I rest my point.  Chief's fans are in. sane.

Mr. & Mrs. Heck

About a month ago (you thought I was kidding when I said these posts will all be overdue), Tony and I headed to Cinnciatti for our lovely friend Chris Heck's wedding.

Tony and Chris were Sig Ep's together at KSU then lived together in KC Tony's first 2 years of dental school.  They even had a cat together.  I hated that cat.  Probably why Heck got custody when Tony moved out.  Seriously that cat was a B.  Heck and I shared a love for a lot of things just not Peanut.  I will give him credit for teaching me to love wine.  That's a big one.  And for introducing me to the Quaff.  That's another big one.

When Heck moved away to Savannah, Georgia for work we were pretty sad, but that's where he met his wife Jenna, so I've gotten over it a little bit.  They now both live in Philly and both work for the same hotel.  We're hoping they get transferred back to KC at some point.

Back to the trip... we flew out EARLY on Friday morning with Tony's parents and Rizzo.  Tony and Riz were groomsmen so they had to fly with their tuxes.  Tony had called Delta to make sure they had a place to hang them, they said they did.  When we got to the airport, we had a change of planes (planes, not plans), and we walked on the smallest plane I've ever seen.  1 seat on the left, 2 on the right, no place to hang the tuxes.  Tony shoved his in the overhead compartment.  Apparently he was ahead of the game b/c when Rizzo went to put his up, there was no room.  So the tux sat on his lap for the entire trip... along with his bag.  Hilarious.  I'm just sad I don't have a picture.

We arrived in Cincy, got the rental car, and were off to find our hotel and lunch.  We were so hungry we went to the first place we saw... Lonestar Steakhouse.  Turns out we have one here in KC and Tony's parents also have one in Hutch, but we were so hungry we didn't care.  Next we went to meet other friends for drinks at Applebee's before the rehearsal dinner.  Lonestar and Applebee's... really branching out in Cincy.

The rehearsal dinner was at an old huge Irish Pub.  Right up my style.  Plus, when they brought the wine around for refills, it was Tisdale.  We all know how much I love my Tizzy.

You can see how the night progressed...

Bride & Groom

Rehersal dinner cake

All night Erin's excuse for double fisting was 'I'm a mom'

Hello, mom

I am not a mom.  I have no excuse.

After dinner, we headed out to the main part of the bar where there was a DJ.  He was not there for the rehearsal dinner, he was just there.  And he had a fog machine.  It was outstanding.  We danced our pants off in that fog.

It took the cab an hour and a half to pick us up. Tony waited outside for him and in the mean time, Rizzo and I had our very own photoshoot...

So sad the cab isn't here.

but we'll keep taking pictures.

so bored.

Then we found Tony!

And the pictures continued

The next day was the wedding, which Tony's parents and I were late to after getting lost.  The wedding party drove around the rest of the day taking pictures, and we all found the nearest bar to watch the KSU game.
Then we met up with everyone at the reception.

And then again with the action shots....

Everybody wanted to dance against the mom on the wall.

See?

Wine apparently makes me gangsta.

They had a party bus pick up people from the reception and head back to the hotels.  Genious.

Plus it had a stripper pole...

Our flight the next morning was at 9:00 and we had to return the rental car, which meant we had to be up at 5:30.  You can bet I was not a happy camper.

Great weekend away!
Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Heck!!
