Ever since Tony forced Margo into the lake with him, she's been addicted to water.
Last week when I picked her up from daycare, the guy was like 'she is really wet.' I was thinking, oh no big deal, she probably had just jumped in the pool and right back out. She's not a huge fan of water. Then I saw her. Wet, dripping, smelly, Marg. Running full blast at me. It made it better that I was in my work clothes. And it was over my lunch break... and I didn't have a towel. He went on to tell me that she's the only dog that gets in the pool and never gets out while they are outside. I was surprised to hear that, but don't blame her, it's effing hot outside.
So last night, Tony was watering the yard and Marg needed to take a potty break. Tony didn't think we should let her in the back b/c the sprinkler was on and she'd get wet and messy. I told him she would be too scared to play with it.
I was wrong...
Life is what we make it... always has been... always will be.

Bad Track Record
Happy Friday!!
It's no surprise that I've had a lot of issues with cars in the past. It all started with Kitty. My green Cougar I drove in high school and college. She was purty. Her hood got scrunched up a couple of times, the bumper drug along the street making a hidious nails on the chalk board sound, and Gina got my key stuck permanently in the ignition for a couple of years. It was fine, I wasn't worried about anyone taking her. They would have brought her right back.
Then the Jeep was passed down to me. She never had a name, poor love bug. We had some good times together, including a few road trips to Manhattan, Garden City and Bartlesville. Then we started fighting. It all started when Emily and I were headed down to the Plaza Art Fair 2 years ago. She was all hot and bothered and started smoking. We seriously thought she was going to blow up right then & there. The next day my mom and I drove her to the shop, going about 40 mph. on the hwy and stopping every 2 min. to put water in her. She was really never the same. Then we went through the no A/C thing recently and she was put to rest last weekend. Bless her sole.
So less than a week ago, I started driving Tony's Explorer. I had high hopes for Dora and I. We seemed to be getting along nicely. This morning I went into the garage to find a note on my window from Tony.
'Check your work parking lot for the missing piece of the back of your car...'
Seriously?! A chunk of the paneling on the back of the Explorer is now missing. I swear I didn't hit anything. This is why I will never own a new car. They all hate me. As for the missing piece of car... it wasn't in the parking lot. I'm just hoping the rest of it can hold itself together. I think we'll start going to counceling next week.

Stressed
I'm going through a million changes in my job and job location at the moment, so blogging might be on hiatus for awhile. I'm about ready to pull all of my hair out.
Guess which glass of wine I'm choosing lately....

This Mess Is A Car
Tony is getting a truck this weekend, which means 2 things. 1.) I will be driving the Explorer* and 2.) I had to clean out my car.
For those of you that know me, you know this was a major event. One of my downfalls, yes I have downfalls I know it's hard to believe, is that my car is like that junk room in your house where everything without a place ends up.
So last night I decided to tackle thisproject event. Here's the before...
Some of my favorite items I found included, but are not limited to:
Loose hot tamales
Not one, but 3 bags of golf balls
7 mittens
1 slipper
A pair of bright pink leggings - Anyone want to claim these?
3 fleeces
Casserole dish
A purple plastic fork
Tony's wedding ring receipt from 4 years ago
and... 2 full cans of Miller Light
Don't worry, I threw them away... I can't imagine how terrible a can of beer would taste after sitting through God knows how many summers and winters...
Tony told me I absolutely cannot let the Explorer get that out of control. One time this spring we were with a group of people at Maloneys and it started to get really chilly outside. I ended up providing 5 people with jackets to wear... from my trunk. It's times like these where it's nice to have options.
Here's the aftermath.

Bye Jeep! I'm kinda going to miss the feeling of not knowing whether you're going to start or not, have A/C or not, and that lovely sound you're brakes made. The final test? If she makes it all the way to GB or not for the trade. Someone may be coming to tow us on Saturday, keep your phones handy.
*I'm taking applications for a name for the Explorer. She's a sage green color. My favorite so far is Dora. Dora the Explora.

Ozarks 2011
We took a little trip to the Ozarks this weekend. It was a great way to get out of town for awhile. I could have stayed 3 more days.
Usually the disgusting strip joints along the drive to the lake is entertaining, but Kirk informed us that Missouri passed a law that the strippers have to wear tops now, and I actually didn't see one single strip club. Do you really think they all shut down because the girls have to cover up the twins now? Not that I'm distraught that they aren't there anymore, the signs were just always hilarious to read.
The boys left around 1:30 and arrived early enough to take the boat out and unpack everything. Good move on our part. The gals and Kirk took off around 3:30 and made it there in time for a few drinks on the deck before we headed to H. Toads. Formerly, The Horny Toad. Missouri must be getting classy... no more strip clubs and no more using the word 'horny'.
The next morning we woke up, ate some breakfast burritos that Gina brought, drank some gaterade, and were out on the boat by 11:00.
We coved out for awhile and then decided to head to a bar on the water. We actually attempted to go to a swim up pool bar, but they were charging a cover, so we walked next door. We showed them.
The special was Tang Bubble Bombs. We were intrigued so we ordered them...the were not good.
We headed to Back Water Jack's for dinner since we knew they had amazing crab legs.

Double fisting, duh.
When we got back to the condo, we put on our suits, grabbed the giant tub-o-cheese balls, and headed down to the dock for a dip.
Best snack ever.

We didn't plan it, I swear.
The best frozen drink we tried was called a Pain in the Ass. For some reason Gina could not remember the name... the funniest thing she called them was Shit in the Water.
We headed to Back Water Jack's for dinner since we knew they had amazing crab legs.
And here's what our table ended up looking like... Dave chose to forgo the shell crackers and just bang his hand on the table. And if you look closely in the background, you can see Gina cleaning up her bowl of butter stained cover up.
Everyone was in bed by midnight, which states that it was a successful day at the lake.
On the way home the next morning we desperately tried to find a Pizza Hut Buffet to stop at. We failed miserably, but Chipotle was a close second.
Awesome trip with awesome friends. Wish we were going back this weekend!!

Gumby
Remember that cute little weird rubber man named Gumby? We now have one.
Tony ordered meds for Margo from PetMeds.com. When they came, I opened the box to find a Gumby toy in there, too. Tony had seen it online and thought it would be fun for our princess. Ok, he really just needed to add something else to score free shipping, but whatev.
I turned into the worst dog mom ever this year. I forgot about our daughter's birthday. Last year we had a huge party with all ofour her friends, and this year I didn't even give her a bone. Gasp, I know. Her birthday was Thursday, and we remembered on Friday. So Saturday I took her to Petsmart and let her pick out a toy. She wanted all of them that she could reach, plus the little 3 year old at the checkout, but I told her she couldn't have him. We left with a stuffed alligator, that I'm sure won't make it through the week, and 3 big bones.
So when Gumby came in the PetMeds box, we just acted as if we had ordered it for her birthday. She'll never know.
Mr. Gumby makes me think of that one time at a KSU football game when everyone was calling me 'Blue Gumby'...

But she'll eat anything, so I wasn't worried.

I have no idea where they came up with that...
So Happy Late Birthday Margo. I'm a terrible mom. Maybe you'll get to go to daycare twice this week?

It's Gettin' Hott in Herrrr
Hi. It's hotter than hell outside. No, really. I think it might actually be hotter than hell.
I keep trying to be thankful that it's not the awful winter we had. I hate you January. But then I get into my car and curse the sun.
Why? Well, for one, I have no air conditioner right now. The jeep's timing couldn't be better. 107 heat index + no A/C = FML. I'm really pretty when I get to work and my make up has sweated off and my clothes are soaked through like a Biggest Loser contestant on Day 1.
So if you don't hear from me in a couple of days... I'm busy trying to picture myself in an igloo.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My!
My parents are on a 2 week vaca to Yellowstone, hiking, camping, bar hopping to whatever bars are in the neighborhood. Oh and they did make a stop in Sturgis. My mom text me that she was having some brews with the bikers. I love her.
Today I got an email from my dear friend Lacey saying:
So yesterday I called my Mom and she was like Dad just heard that a 57 year old man got mauled by a bear at Yellowstore Park, and Rob and Lynn are at Yellowstone. Have you heard from Callie?! I was like no....and she goes ok that makes me feel better because I tried to call Lynn and she didn't answer but I'm sure if something happened you would have heard from Cal. I was like shit! I hope Rob didn't get eaten by a bear!
I got to thinking... shit, I haven't heard from my mom since Wednesday. I calmly text my mom. Then I decided to google the incident. The report I read said they weren't releasing the name of the man until all family members were notified. Shit again. I hadn't heard back from my mom. Maybe she lost her phone as she was running from the bear.
20 minutes later.
My phone beeped. It was my mom. Dad had not been eaten, but they did drive by that exact spot the morning of the attack. Phew! They are alive and well living up north. Of coarse I prayed for the poor family that did get attacked, but I can go on with my day for now.
Happy Friday All! Stay away from those bears...

Red White & Blue
Happy (late) 4th! As always it took me awhile to get my pictures together. We were at the lake all weekend, and it was fab.
And here's what the lake water does to a pedicure...
We had quite the crew at the lake this weekend. Moeder and Michelle came down from Indy, the Rizzo's bunked up with them. Andy & Andie stayed with us. It was a lovely time, despite the problem that the lake is such an easy place to enjoy cocktails at. When you add a bunch of friends into the mix, gatorade ends up being your best friend for awhile.
Saturday night we got into a pretty intense game of dirty charades. It's probably the best game ever. Girls against Boys. I sadly have no pictures of this, but it's probably a really good thing I don't. Most of the phrases I can't repeat on here, but I will tell you that I had to act out (earmuffs kids) 'hymien'. That wasn't pretty.
Tony smoked some ribs, that turned out amazing!
Later Sunday night we had quite the firework show. It might have been better than my smoke bombs.
Marg had a good weekend too.
On Monday night when we got back we went to Dave & Em's for a BBQ. It was a blast and we all had entirely too much wine, but it was well worth it!
I hope you all had an amazing holiday weekend too!! Thank you to all of our military who have fought and are fighting for our freedom. You all are incredible!!
Saturday we spent the day down at 'the beach' which is really just a muddy rocky area that you get to through a brush trail with ticks galore.
But we had plenty of these to forget about the ticks for awhile.
Here's what boy feet look like minus sunscreen...and plus tevas.

On Sunday we chilled in the garage most of the day.
With this guy. Notice the gaterade... charades got the best of Chris.
While everyone did this:
I'm a big fan of beer pong, I'm not a big fan of that ugly table.
We also played some flippy cup where the girls crushed the boys. There's no pictures since my face was indulged into a solo cup and my shirt was covered in beer.
The best thing about being at the lake is when it storms. You can see it rolling in and we usually just sit in the garage and watch it.
I requested smoke bombs and sparklers when Tony went to the firework stand. I'm really tough like that. Smoke bombs are my absolute favorite, because I like to write with them. However, the smoke bombs that Tony bought were complete duds. They lasted about 2 seconds and petered out. Which is why my drawing is like a rainbow.
I realize it says T & Cline, it's really hard to see through that smoke and worry about spacing people.
Later Sunday night we had quite the firework show. It might have been better than my smoke bombs.
My camera was dying during the show, so I only came out with this one. I also couldn't figure out how to work the settings for better pictures.
Marg had a good weekend too.
